This role serves as a partner to people managers across the organization, providing consultation on human resource-related issues and the resolution of workforce relations issues.
The HR Business Partner seeks to objectively understand to accurately diagnose problem in order to offer potential solutions, including an assessment of risks associated with each option. Where broader solutions may be needed, the HR Business Partner collaborates with others on the HR Business Partner Services team and/or HR centers of excellence to develop solutions.
Workforce relations matters are handled in a way that seeks to preserve the dignity of each person involved while influencing accountability for performance and behavior, mitigating risk to the organization, and recognizing when to escalate to HR leadership and/or legal counsel, when appropriate.
This requires the ability to listen objectively, accurately diagnose problems, execute tactical plans efficiently, and influence people managers consistent with Landmark values, policy and culture—keeping Joe and Josephine at the center of our decisions. It also requires an effective level of business acumen, understanding of the business’s financial position, mid-range plans, challenges, opportunities and organizational culture.
