  • Overview

    The Social Work Associate Director (AD) provides operational support and clinical oversight to social workers within an assigned Landmark region. This position is responsible for promoting the quality of social work through regular consultation with social workers, ride a-longs and review of social work documentation. The Social Work AD will assist the Social Work Director with ensuring full implementation of the AIMS model and continuous improvement of the Social Work program.




    • Assist with strategy, process development, and implementation of Social Work program and corporate initiatives
    • Assist with monitoring the implementation of the AIMS social work model, including measuring productivity, quality standards, and outcomes
    • Review and monitor referrals tasked and accepted by social workers to ensure equitable workload; and provide feedback to market leadership when concerns are identified
    • Review documentation in the Assessment, Care Plan and Case Note sections; and address any quality of care issues
    • Respond to requests for consultation by social workers from assigned Landmark region
    • Participate in the resolution of conflicts involving social workers from assigned Landmark region
    • Meet and confer periodically via telephone or in person, with market leadership regarding local social work needs
    • Attend and participate in contracted health plan IDT, Clinical Operations, Joint Operation Committees and other operational meetings as requested
    • Participate in monthly Social Work leadership call and monthly All Social Work and All Behavioral Health calls
    • Participate in interviewing, hiring, evaluating and disciplining of social work staff for assigned Landmark region
    • Assist with education, in-service training, and Social Worker orientation as needed
    • Travel to markets in assigned region at least on a quarterly basis, or as needed
    • May provide clinical supervision to social workers in assigned region, as needed
    • May provide interim coverage for social work in assigned region, as needed


    • At least 5 years of direct line social work experience (internship not included) that included case management and/or clinical work with patients
    • Experience working in or with healthcare organizations
    • Master’s Degree (MSW) in Social Work Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
    • Possession of a valid state driver’s license and access to an automobile
    • Ability to travel (air flight) frequently
    • Proven ability to successfully lead groups of staff to achieve positive outcomes
    • 3-5 years of social work supervisory and/ or management experience preferred
    • Two years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) preferred
    • Experience in delivering home-care or field case management is preferred
    • Experience supervising remote staff is preferred
