    Responsibilities

    Position Overview:

    The Chief Human Resources Officer will have responsibility for the development and execution of the Human Capital strategy for the company. Talent management expertise is key as the Company seeks to attract, develop and retain top talent. A deep understanding of the principles of motivation and total reward programs is also important, as is competence in organizational design and development.  This position reports to the President and works directly with the various functional and business leaders across the enterprise. 

     

    What you'll be doing:

    • Work with the CEO, President & executive team on organization design, development of senior leaders, as well as talent in pivotal positions deeper in the company. 
    • Build a talent mindset throughout the company that attracts, develops and retains top talent.
    • Lead the talent review process to strengthen executive bench and expand leadership capacity, including Succession Planning for key roles.
    • Scale staffing capability to source, screen and recruit talent, all with a consistent commitment to equal opportunity and a flexibility to adjust process to meet varying needs across positions.
    • Work with our executive leadership team to review and improve company-wide total reward strategies that are competitive and cost effective.
    • Develop impactful performance management programs, including appropriate content, process and technology to reinforce the high-performance culture.
    • Develop a learning architecture and programs, supplemented by individual coaching, training and career-planning.
    • Develop a compelling employer brand, partnering with Marketing, by aligning all HR offerings to build the desired employee experience and engagement.

    Qualifications

    What we're looking for:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree is a plus.
    • 15+ years of relevant experience 
    • Experience in Healthcare sector is preferred but not required.
    • Excellence in talent assessment and development. Is relentless in quest to match top performers to roles where they can add the most value. 
    • Experience leading organizations through hyper growth
    • Working with Boards of Directors is a plus
    • Experience with compensation plans and equity participation programs is a plus
    • Experience in building high quality staffing capability to support business growth. Understands when to “over-hire” and “hire-ahead-of-curve”.

    • Intuitive: A sixth sense for diagnosing how poorly or well an organization is functioning; a nose for pinpointing the root causes of serious people/org problems and breakthrough successes; and an intuitive sense of fairness to correct or reward the people involved.
    • Business Acumen: Capacity and willingness to weigh in, as part of the Executive Committee, on business decisions in which talent can be the difference between success and failure.
    • Motivation: Self-motivated, ability to set priorities, pivot easily as priorities change and follow through to meet the demands of multiple constituencies.
