Responsibilities

Position Overview:

 

At Landmark our Information Technology team are constantly creating ways for us to be innovative and efficient in the way we work with our health plan partners.   This key, newly created position will play a critical role in acquisition, integration and quality management of the various health plan data sources used by the Landmark business intelligence, data services, business and shared services teams.   In collaboration with other team members you will build the strategy to acquire and maintain data with a high level of reliability in the Enterprise data warehouse. 

 

This role is instrumental in helping Landmark provide quality patient care to all patient members by ensuring the right information is available when needed.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Collaborate and communicate very closely with health plan contacts and various internal stake holders to ensure data files are delivered on time and with high accuracy.
  • Manage a team of data analysts and EDI specialists to ensure timely processing of files from health plans and handling exception scenarios.
  • Establish standards and automation to allow for transparent tracking and reporting of data operations.
  • Understand the content and context of the healthcare data set and provide adequate oversight to ensure high quality of the data being ingested into Landmark’s warehouse.
  • Design and develop integrated test plans relevant to interface implementations.
  • Oversee the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology platform and support client integration and data submission
  • Help support implementation of new health plan feeds and provide leadership support to the implementation process.
  • Work efficiently and effectively across multiple functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Determine data & Integration priorities in conjunction with EDW data governance structure, assisting to develop any plans necessary to resolve resource or other budgetary issues during both project planning and implementation.
  • Oversee project documentation and updates to relevant knowledge bases; analyze lessons learned and share with members of IT data services team.
  • Hire, train and mentor top talent, while fostering a culture of curiosity where initiative and performance are rewarded

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in data integration role which includes at least 3 years of healthcare experience
  • 4+years of leadership/management experience
  • Excellent knowledge of data integration programs involving all components including source systems, ETL, data quality/integrity, database, and delivery mechanisms and EDI business processes, practices and procedures within healthcare environment
  • Previous Business Intelligence (BI) SQL development experience is a plus
  • Experience providing recommendations on enterprise data integrations and applications
  • Advise on complex technical matters to all stakeholders; ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects across various functional teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to build teams and generate a spirit of cooperation while coordinating diverse activities and groups; people management and negotiating skills within a team environment.
  • Ability to work well with people from many different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear, concise and tactful communication with senior management clients, peers and staff.
