Member of the Finance team that will ensure accurate processing and recording of company’s payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, participate in daily Payroll processing functions. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and offers career development opportunities for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Audits bi-weekly payroll before payrolls are released for processing.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits
  • Process garnishment calculations and compliance
  • Load import files received from HR (All Companies)
  • Identify and participate in process improvement projects, including various implementations and upgrades.
  • Monitor email inquiries from the payroll inbox, resolve and respond to employees as necessary.
  • Assist in performing monthly GL close duties related to payroll including journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
  • Set up employees Pay Time Off (PTO) and manage employees’ PTO plans in accordance with company policies
  • Assist in processing accurate and timely quarterly and year-end regulatory filings, i.e. 940, 941, etc.
  • Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
  • Assist with regulatory audits when necessary
  • Report 401k contributions to 401k provider in an accurate and timely manner


  • 4 year college degree, preferably in finance or accounting
  • CPP preferred but not required.
  • 4-6 years’ experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Experience recording payroll journal entries and reconciliation of payroll general ledger accounts.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations.
  • Strong PC skills
  • Proficiency in Excel including advanced formulas functions (VLookups, Pivot tables, IF statements)
  • Knowledge of ADP Workforce Now
  • Implementation experience required.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.

  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
