Responsibilities

SQL EDI DEVELOPER

Position Summary:

In this high-profile role, the SQL EDI Developer will be responsible for designing and developing data integration solutions and enhancing Landmark’s EDI infrastructure and data transfers. Through designing, developing, and testing, this position will be responsible for ensuring that technical designs and implementation are consistent with requirements and data integration best practices. The individual will work with other members of the Data team and external counterparts to ensure that the data integration and end-to-end implementation meets business requirements. The candidate will be responsible for coding scripts, developing reports, and loading and unloading data required for EDI application. A strong knowledge of SQL scripts along with hands on experience in building mappings and workflows for new and existing trading partners in healthcare organization is key for success in this role.

 What you'll be doing:

  • Responsible for designing, developing, creating schemas, maps, pipelines and orchestrations in Biztalk application
  • Consume and develop business requirements and create technical design and supporting documentation for data integration development
  • Develop data integration components including EDI, data mapping, XML, file transfers and monitoring.
  • Create technical design documentation in adherence to business, source system, target system, and solution architecture requirements
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure data integration development and implementation is in accordance with other design components and meets end-state requirements and HIPAA compliance.
  • Understand the upstream and downstream data impacts and applies business rules used to govern data transformations
  • Build & test ETL scripts that is critical for the EDI application source data
  • Troubleshoot, performance tune and monitor the data ingress and egress processes and build internal controls to maintain data quality
  • Deploy new upgrades and releases in production

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience working in health care industry
  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server, Integration Services, SQL, C# .Net, Web API, Microsoft Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012/2013 and JSON
  • EDI programming experience and EDI specifications (ANSI x12 837,834, 5010, 999, 277,835 etc.)
  • Strong experience in Biztalk application highly desirable
  • Experience working with PHI and in a HIPAA compliant environment preferred
  • Experience with XML and SOAP-based architectures as well as RESTful web services
  • Experience with file transport services and mechanisms, i.e. FTP, SFTP, Secure File Transfer
  • Understanding of basic computing technologies/protocols, i.e. DNS, SMTP, PGP, TCP/IP, etc.
  • Strong understanding of datawarehouse processes and OLAP concepts helpful
  • Prefer knowledge of HL7 standards
  • Knowledge in SQL Queries and Stored Procedure preferred
