Responsibilities

Position Overview:

In this high-profile role, the QA Analyst will be responsible for manual QA testing, designing and developing test plan and test cases for Health IT products. The role will participate in developing product manual, job aids and conducting trainings. The analyst will be involved in testing and supporting integration projects - analyzing and understanding technical specs and developing test cases and scenarios to successfully implement the technology integration with home grown EHR.  This position will work with multiple groups including development, product, business to successfully drive project to completion.

 

 

What you'll be doing: 

  • Work with Engineering, business analysts and end users as products are developed, staying current with key design decisions and become the product/technology expert.
  • Design, develop and document the business requirements, test plans, test cases and conduct UAT testing for every product release to ensure requirements are met for system modifications
  • Contribute to the manual test strategy and provide feedback for improvements
  • Work with software developers to identify and resolve defects/bugs
  • Participate in daily scrums as well as features planning discussions
  • Assess and analyze issues reported by production users and identify root cause.
  • Demonstrate leadership by coordinating the requirements, specifications, and user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Participate in implementation of integration projects with HIE and third party vendors. 

Qualifications

What we're looking for: 

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the health care industry as business analyst, QA or product specialist.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Meaningful Use/ MACRA/ MIPS and product certification is preferred.
  • Experience working with an EHR and HIT solutions is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile development methodology including User stories, Use Cases, UAT, product sprint and backlog management.
  • Experience with generating reports from bug tracking software such as JIRA is preferred
  • 2+ years of experience reading, writing and running basic SQL queries is helpful
  • Knowledge of HL7, XML and domain expertise in Healthcare technology protocols and standards
  • Experience in implementation of integrations with LAB, HIE and other third party vendors.
