Position Summary:


In this vital role, the Director of Business Development will assist in identifying, assessing and developing new business opportunities. You will provide leadership support for developing growth/contracting strategies, sales process development and driving superior client engagement and operational performance.


You will interact extensively with senior executives across Operations, Growth, Strategy, Finance, and other key leaders – providing excellent visibility within the company on a national level.


This role is instrumental in helping Landmark provide quality patient care to all patient members.


What you'll be doing:

  • Work closely with Chief Business Officer and executive leaders to ensure business growth strategies are achieved.
  • Assist in identifying potential business partners and expand service offerings to existing clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project leads of prospective clients.
  • Provide leadership in all phases of business development with prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, Clinical, Operations, and other business units to ensure that diligence activities are scheduled and coordinated.
  • Help in creating functional strategies and specific objectives for cross functional teams.
  • Innovate ways to streamline processes and continuously improve and shorten the sales cycle. 


What we're looking for:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in corporate healthcare, medical group, Medicare Advantage (MA) plan, management consulting or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of health plan business operations, network management, contracting structure and negotiations
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and efficiently with top executives both internally and externally
  • Proven ability to deliver results and liaise with cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal, decision-making, and technical skills; proven ability to present new ideas and concepts to a diverse audience
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaborative skills
  • Strong analytical/financial skills are a plus
  • High energy; an ability to function in a high growth, entrepreneurial environment
